China’s Mars rover Zhu Rong successfully landed on Mars on May 15, 2021, Eastern Eighth Zone time. This article has selected 15 pictures of the Zhu Rong rover released from May 22, 2021 to July 16, 2021 by China National Space Administration (CNSA). Zhu Rong’s front obstacle avoidance camera’s large wide-angle lens captured the rover landing platform, the normally deployed ramp mechanism, and the distant Martian marginal line that was distorted under the wide-angle lens:

At 10:40 on May 22, 2021, Eastern Eighth Zone, Zhu Rrong officially sailed on the surface of Mars. Picture 04 was taken by Zhurong’s rear obstacle avoidance camera:

A panoramic view of the landing site taken by Zhurong. When the photograph was taken, Zhu Rong had not left the landing platform. The panoramic image was taken by the navigation terrain camera on the mast of the Mars rover, after correction and mosaic stitching:

The landing platform was photographed by Zhu Rong. From the picture, you can see the Chinese flag and the trajectory of the Chinese character “中” formed by the driving of Zhurong in front of the ramp mechanism of the landing platform:

A photo of Zhu Rong with the landing platform. The picture was taken by the separate camera carried by Zhu Rong. Zhu Rong first drove to a position about 10 meters away from the landing platform, then released the separate camera installed on its belly, and retreated to the landing site near the platform. Finally, the separate camera completed this group photo:

On June 02, 2021, the location of Zhu Rong, landing platform, parachute, back cover and heat shield photographed by Tianwen-1 mission‘s orbiter. At that time, the Zhu Rong rover had already sailed on Mars Surface, and prepared to move to the position where the parachute and back cover combination was located:
